This notice is for residents of Washington, Nevada, Connecticut and other states with consumer health data laws. Our full privacy policy explains everything else about how Vitey handles information.
Categories of consumer health data and their sources
Vitey processes on your device: health and fitness measurements and activity from Apple Health (such as heart rate, sleep, workouts, weight and nutrition); information you enter (such as health notes, life stage including pregnancy, symptoms, medications, menstrual cycle, mood, food and progress photos); precise location while you track a route; and inferences Vitey makes from these (such as readiness, stress, training load and patterns). Sources: you, Apple Health, and your device's sensors.
Why it is collected and how it is used
Only to provide Vitey's features to you: showing your data and trends, setting targets, creating plans and tips, sending reminders you choose, and making reports you decide to share.
Categories of consumer health data shared
We don't share consumer health data with anyone. Vitey sends only these non-health requests, each without your name: your approximate location for weather, food search words or barcodes, and the approximate map area when you search for nearby gyms, classes, parks or trails.
Third parties that receive data
For the requests above only: Open-Meteo or Apple (weather), Open Food Facts (food lookup), and Apple Maps and OpenStreetMap's Overpass service (nearby places). We have no affiliates that receive data. We don't sell consumer health data.
Your rights and how to use them
You can confirm what Vitey processes and access it (Profile › Export), delete it (Profile › Delete data and start over, or by deleting the app; Apple Health data in the Health app), and withdraw consent (by removing Vitey's Apple Health permissions or deleting its data). You can also email support@vitey.app with "Consumer health data" in the subject. We'll respond within 45 days. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our response with "Appeal" in the subject; we'll answer within 45 days, and if you're not satisfied you can contact your state attorney general.
